The Clive Lions Club is pleased to announce that the 2011 Clive Citizen of the Year is Edie Bogaczyk of 15130 Holcomb Avenue, Clive, Iowa.

Edie is currently employed with The Iowa Association of Community Providers. Community service and organizations, that she is involved with include, “Friends of the Clive Public Library”, Clive Festival Committee-Kids Corner, Waukee School District-Shuler Elementary, Iowa Commission of Persons with Disabilities- Commissioner Governor Appointment, Iowa State Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association, Polk County Women Attorneys, Link Associates and the State Bar of Michigan.

Edie is a graduate from the Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law and the University of Windsor, Assumption University, Ontario Canada.

She is married to David Bogaczyk. They have a son, Zachary, and a daughter, Isabella.

Edie and David have worked diligently with the Prader-Willi(Syndrome) Organization of Iowa, bringing awareness and support about this rare condition to our community, as their son, Zach, was born, with this syndrome, over 11 years ago.

The Clive Citizen of the Year Banquet, to honor Edie, will be held at Walnut Ridge At Clive Senior Living Community, 1701 Campus Drive in Clive, on February 27th, 2012. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a dinner at 7:00 p.m.
