We will be sponsoring a 1.5 mile walk in conjunction with the National Prader-Willi campaign “On The Move”, beginning at Moore’s Grocery store in Lilac Plaza, and ending at Washington House.
Registration will be from 1:00pm to 1:30pm in the Moore’s parking lot. Cost is $5.00 per person.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Prader-Willi Association – Iowa Chapter. All participants will receive a Prader–Willi Bracelet and other promotional items. The route will be marked and walkers will be self guided.
Along with the walk all participants will be given a punchcard with participating merchants on it. As we walk by these businesses, we will go in and have them punch our cards. Any purchases that you make during the walk will be marked with your name and couriered back to you at Washington House. The walk will end at Washington House where there will be refreshments and tours of the house. All completed punchcards will be put in a drawing for donated door prizes from participating merchants. Prairie View will then shuttle visitors back to their vehicles at lilac plaza.
Participants can choose to make the route by car, if unable to walk that distance.
